The Individual Puddin’ Contest will decide who has the very best Banana Pudding in the state of Georgia.
The winner is invited to participate in the National Banana Pudding Contest in Centerville, Tennessee held the first weekend in October.
Contestants must provide a full dish of any flavor or style of Banana Pudding. The judges will look at general presentation, use of basic ingredients, texture, aroma, color and most importantly taste. They will evaluate the entry in a blind taste test.
Set up is between 10:00 am-10:55am with judging starting at 11:00am. Winners will be announced as soon as the judging is completed. Samples of pudding will be available to visitors as the judges deliberate.
Registration is on a first come basis. We accept 10 contestants and two alternates. Contestants must be Georgia residents.
Grand Prize: $500, the annual State Banana Pudding Apron, and braggin’ rights.
WINNER TAKES ALL, we'll spotlight the winner on our website all year and they are headed to the National Contest in Centerville, Tennessee at the National Banana Pudding Festival in October.
The 9th annual State Banana Pudding Festival Individual Pudding Contest winner is Julia Asherman from Jeffersonville. Second Place went to ToRonda Heggs from Tennille and our third place winner was Shyree Burndage from Covington.
We are excited to have another of our State Banana Pudding winners go on to compete in the National Banana Pudding Contest in Centerville, Tennessee in October.
Jenn Morris continues the reign of glory for the state of Georgia by winning first prize for her pudding at the 2023 National Banana Pudding Festival in Centerville, Tennessee. Morris makes the fourth Georgia Sate Banana Pudding winner to go on to claim the title of the nations best Banana Pudding. She joins Kathy Thompson (2018), Kelly Crumbley (2016), and Suzanne or Ruth Anne Price (2017) as a holder of the National title.
